Technology & The Factory System
The horse shoe and heavy plow in Europe is similar to the new machines during the industrial revolution in that they caused population growth, urbanization and stability for the economy.
Unlike working on farms people working in a factory's start and finish time did not depend on the weather or light.
Industrialization & Capitalism (Alex)
The spread of industrialization could be compared to the enlightenment because ideas were being transferred throughout countries. The building of railroads could be compared to the Inca's roads because stuff could travel quicker.
Urbanization & Socialist Challenge
The Marxist view can be compared to how in India, the social classes are what their society is based off of while the Marxist view claims that is the problem.
Fruits of the Industry & Society (Laura Taylor)
Unlike the population growth in the Pacific Islands which was based off of only agriculture, the population growth of Europe and the Americas was mainly due to the increase in manufactured goods. These manufactured goods were then used to increase agriculture which then in turn increased the population. The Pacific Islands was only agriculture while the Europe and Americas was based off of industry.

The railroad system that was created to help decrease travel and trade time, can be compared to the silk road that originated in the Han Dynasty. Much like the silk road, the railroads allowed a much quicker way of communicating.

- The companies that were ambitious and wanted to invest into the raw material countries (could build railroads to connect a plantation to the coastline) were very much like the entrepreneurs in America, where the entrepreneurs and the investors didn't know what was going to happen. -Haven
